Services for Men

There is a lack of services, resources and materials for men who are experiencing relationship violence. Due to cultural beliefs about gender and violence, many men who disclose violence are not believed. These issues combine to make it very difficult for men to get the help they need when they are experiencing violence. Furthermore, although these materials are applicable to men’s safety planning, many resources often use gendered language.

Every person who is facing relationship violence deserves to be believed, treated with compassion, and given access to helpful resources.
