For Trainers
If you have a course that you would like to have approved by our Training Committee, please take the following steps:
- Complete the Application for Course Approval form including the Trainer’s Check List, and upload all required documents.
- The fee for approving a new course is $300.
- No fees payable for courses previously approved by another FDR organization **
**To qualify, a trainer must be a member or become a member of FDRIO and submit his or her application on or before December, 31, 2017. - Approved courses to be reviewed every three years at which time $150 payable for each approved course.
- No fees payable annually for website listing.
14-HOUR BASIC PARENTING COORDINATION TRAINING PROGRAM
- Substantive Knowledge Base (minimum 6 hours total)
- Core Training (minimum 4 hours total)
- Activities (minimum 4 hours total)
- Role Plays (minimum 10 hours total)
Within the substantive knowledge and core training, trainers should provide role-plays. One trainer should not supervise more than two small role-plays (groups of four or fewer), or more than one large role-play (groups of more than four) at any one time. Coaches who provide such supervision must have completed the requirements for the relevant FDRP Certification or equivalent with another certifying organization.
If course is taken in more than one part, the last part must be completed within one year of the commencement of the first part.
14-HOUR ADVANCED PARENTING COORDINATION PRACTICUM TRAINING PROGRAM
- Substantive Knowledge Base (minimum 4 hours total)
- Core Training (minimum 2 hours total)
- Activities (minimum 8 hours)
- Role-Plays (minimum 10 hours)
Within the substantive knowledge and core training, trainers should provide role-plays. One trainer should not supervise more than two small role-plays (groups of four or fewer), or more than one large role-play (groups of more than four) at any one time. Coaches who provide such supervision must have completed the requirements for the relevant FDRP Certification or equivalent with another certifying organization.
If course is taken in more than one part, the last part must be completed within one year of the commencement of the first part.
14-HOUR FAMILY RELATIONS TRAINING COURSE

21-HOUR SCREENING FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND POWER IMBALANCE TRAINING PROGRAM

- Core Training (minimum 7 hours total)
- Role-Plays (minimum 6 hours)

One trainer should not supervise more than two small role-plays (groups of four or fewer), or more than one large role-play (groups of more than four) at any one time. 30-HOUR FAMILY LAW TRAINING PROGRAM

40 HOUR FUNDAMENTALS OF FAMILY MEDIATION
